What Wine will go with my dinner tonight ??
Cabernet Sauvignon: Goes well with most red meat dishes, Italian foods and lamb. Landot Noir: Beaujolais-like it lends itself to lighter dishes such as veal, lamb, cheese and blackened fish. Marechal Foch: A big red that enhances foods such as heavier pastas and red meats. Chardonnay: It can enhance a red meat like a steak but is more often a complement to a fish, poultry or veal dish. Seyval Blanc: A full flavored white wine aged in oak for a year , it will stand up to red meat dishes as well as seafood and poultry. Vidal Blanc: The lighter more delicate of our white wines goes well with fish or poultry. Pleasant Ridge Blush: A light semi sweet wine that can be enjoyed on it's own or as a pairing with light dishes such as fish or poultry. Rayon d'Or: Like a Sauvignon Blanc, it has a herbal-like character and is best with seafood and poultry dishes. Riesling: A sweet wine that can enjoyed by itself or with spicy foods, seafood or with lightly seasoned poultry ( some of our customers like it with turkey, paired with our gewurztraminer they make a perfect before, during and after combination at Thanksgiving ) . Gewurztraminer: This wine with it's spicy overtones can complement a wide range of foods such as Chinese or Thai cuisine. It can enhance fish in rich sauces, smoked meats, fruit and cheese. Gewurztraminer as a dessert wine goes well with pumpkin or apple pies. Late Harvest Seyval: A strong flavored concentrated wine that blends well with an after dinner fruit and cheese plate. Ravat: It's distinctive apple-like flavor melds well with desserts such as cheesecakes, custards, flans and creme brulees. Ruby Port: A luscious fortified wine that is the perfect finish to a memorable evening. Chocolate and cheese are the perfect companions to this rich flavored wine. And don't forget the cigars.
